Ok, Eugene will explain better his 1-star... as a general rule, once you have a fair explanation about the subject, coherent with the rating, the review stays no matter the stardom it receives. Eugene is quite fluent in English (as observed in his posts) to do the job.

Eugene,
It's fine if you don't like the album. I personally quite enjoy it, but you're more than welcome to have an opinion differing from mine. All we're saying is that if you're going to write a review, try to actually describe the album and explain WHY you consider it to be so awful rather than just declaring that to be your opinion. It's nothing against you personally, I've seen you write perfectly informative reviews in the past, this one just didn't really say anything about the album beyong "I hate it!" Someone who hasn't heard it gets absolutely no idea of what it is or why they should be avoiding it from your review, which essentially defeats the entire purpose of writing one in the first place. I hope that you decide to write a new one, as even though my views on that album differ I would be interested to see your thoughts on it... just try to make them run a little deeper than "It sucks!" Peace, Bryan |

YES — Talk
Review by richardh (Richard Haydon) Most Yes beyond 1980 is crap so it was quite refreshing to discover this very underated gem from the early nineties. This is still the Rabin era but it has a freshness and quality of sound that is far better than 90125 and The Big Generator.Alan White plays the drums as well as I've heard him while the songs are strong.Certainly not one to be avoided. You might be pleasantly surprised in fact! Posted Friday, May 26, 2006, 02:01 EST | Permanent link this is a very experienced reviewer so i'm surprised at this one. Edited by mystic fred - May 26 2006 at 03:54 |

I just noticed this one on the front page. Its ok I think, but I object to the use of the word "crap". |

I would be very concerned if a person like you would like, and as we tend to be quite opposite in our views, I rather take it as a compliment.
Thanks to everybody participating, and I hope it's over now!

I don't understand what is the problem with my manners, but i know that I wouldn't slate any album in the manner you have. Thats your perogative though, its just not my style. |

Fair enough. You've got your style, your manners, youre views, - I got mine.
There is no big problem with your manners - I just do not like it.
As to this particular album - as a fan, I felt offended by it, especially by Special Edition of it, moreover, as long as I consider it being money-making trick, I do not feel much respect to those musicians anymore. I sincerely expressed my honest opinion about it in my review. You are free to consider it (my review) being rubbish - it won't do much harm.
I realise it all got a bit out of hand, probably due to my initial uncorrect review, and feel kinda sorry about it, but "every cloud got a silver lining", and, frankly, I had some fun yesterday during polemic duelling with a representative. It's good to have fun (occasionally), don't you think so?!

The review is fine now.
Eugene, whilst the original was less than satisfactory I dont believe you should have had to endure such a prolonged public dressing down and I dont think it should happen in future. Much of what has been written should have been conducted via PM. |

KRAAN — Through
Review by eternal_wheel I really enjoyed this one. Although a little smoother than their 70's output (perhaps more like flyday in mood) it's a good return to form after 'Soul Of Stone'. Generally good throughout, but worth getting for the title track alone! Nice natural production too... Posted Friday, May 26, 2006, 09:11 EST | Permanent link Unfortunately I don't know "their 70's output", thus I can't tell what this album sounds like except fromm smoother. I'd appreciate it if eternal_wheel gave a little more information about the music on "Through". Thank you. |
