a vocalist that should have been hanged, shot, electrocuted and quartered afterwards for good measure is Max Bacon, singer of GTR. the music of them is not so bad (just listen to the two instrumentals on their studio album or to the instrumental passages), but as soon as the singing starts it is all ruined

All great, what's the problem?  Though honestly, Jon Anderson's voice sounded a little odd to me.  Geddy's probably doesn't because I grew up hearing Rush on the radio all the time.

I don't have problems with anyone of this three. James is not always great, but he1s not bad either. I could hardly imagine DT with another vocalist.

James Labrie is okay, as long as he keeps his trap shut with Dream Theater!

(He's very much okay on Ayreon's The Human Equation  )

Jesus never managed to figure out the theremin either

I cannot understand why some Rush fans don't like Lee's voice,I love his voice, very unique.I dug his singing even more on the older album when he sang in such a high register.

I highly agree with you.  Geddy is very unique.

Though I haven't heard much from YEs or Rush, I sure can tell they are great vocalists, it is hard to sing like them.

James LaBrie has a perfect voice on the studio, lately he has disappinted me live. He can't even reach his own tone. But the ones who think they are bad vocalists are the ones who should be removed

It's funny! I can give you list of, say, 20-30 bands who must get their vocalists sacked, and would do without vocals hundred times better, but the three listed above are just right in their places.

I'm inclined to think that the singers from those respective bands fit the bill, so to speak.

I think that Geddy, James and Jon all have voices that are perfectly adapted to the kind of music their band(s) perform(s).  Example?  Who else but Jon would you want doing those harmonies on songs like "Leave It" or "Hearts"?  Beyond that, could you imagine ANYONE else singing "Bastille Day" or "The Trees" with as much power and confidence as Geddy? Not only that, but Dominici doesn't have HALF of LaBrie's range, so there'd be no way for him to hit those notes, not to mention being able to HOLD them, in tracks like INNOCENCE FADED or TAKE THE TIME...or even OCTAVARIUM.

I agree with you: I have always wondered why such an exellent band as Dream Theatre has such a
dull and repetitive sounding vocalist, always kinda howling on the same  manner when he tries to sing loud and high.  He should  lower down  his voice  a bit  maybe  take  singing lessons or something...
In earlier DT records he sang much better!
For me the quality of singing in those classic rock bands is essential!

All three are great! Can't see what people would have any problems with them for?

All these guys you mention may not be amazing vocalist, but it's they are what makes the band the band they. Rush with a different singer isn't Rush anymore. Geddy is an important part of the bands unique sound.
