can this "citizen" be erased?? there is no understanding or reasonable argument here at all IMO
PINK FLOYD — The Wall Review by citizen_erased86 This album is really not very special at all, Here we see Floyd riding on the reputation of their earlier, breathtaking albums, creating an album which is much more arty that progressive. Roger Waters I think wrote this on his own, which is never a good thing (see 'Tales from Topographic Oceans'). I never did much like the use of samples and sound bytes in 'The Dark Side of the Moon', but they at formed a minor element, whereas in 'The Wall', long sequences of noise and sound effects pass for songs, which are downright annoying. Most of the songs are really not very compex and offer little other than what first appears on the surface. 'Another brick in the wall' and 'comfortably numb' are both Floyd classics brilliant songs however, though I cant imagine why 'Ather brick in the wall' is repeated three times, other than there was a lack of imagination and there needed to be even more filler material for this ridiculously long album. In my humble opinion all these reviews you are angry with are bad quality reviews but I would not call them inappropiate. They have poor arguments but at least there are some arguments (some reviews don't have any one). As much as I don't share their opinions, I wouldn't erase them. But that's my opinion.

Yes' review is really poor. It refers also to another album without mentioning it. To be deleted.
PF's review isn't great I agree, but it shall stay.

KEBNEKAISE — Vi Drar Vidare
Review by Abstrakt (Alexander)
After Kenny Håkansson left "Kebnekajse" in 1977, kebnekajse wasn't the same band
anymore. The folk tone (like Kebnekajse II and III) was gone, so was the loud hard rock
(Resa Mot Okänt Mål). Kebnekajse had lost it all... worst of all, the soul in their
music. "Kebnekajse" is just not the same without Kenny...
i can only give this 1/5 Haven't got the faintest idea what their current sound IS..... ps. I feel pretty stupid for posting here and not review myself, but that time WILL come, I promise |

Abstrakt made a review like we all know many details of the band. I'll talk to him. |

guigo - i'd say this review is a piece of garbage, may i request it is put where it belongs?? 3.04/5
from 124 ratings Review by YesForSure (Booby Bobkins)
Really a peice of garbage, this marked Yes's selling out to the media. They basically left all aspects of prog behind, Howe had left, they started wearing spandex and pink headbands. youngin Trevor Rabin, the stereotypical pop star of the 80's replaced Howe (yeah right) Songs such as "Owner of a Lonely Heart" ruined Yes' good reputation of being prog giants, now you mention them "Oh, they're the band that sings Owner of a Lonely Heart right?". "Hearts" is another shame, corny lyrics (spread out through the whole album too.) and mediocre musicianship. This is the album that never should have happened. As an opinion-piece, not the best I've read. It certainly could say much more about the music, but I wouldn't think it deletable according to the reviews guidelines. It could use some editing. |

The best part of this job... when I have 2 different points about the same review. We always learn a bit, isn't true?.
Considering that we have more than 100 reviews for this album, there's a great chance of discarding the mentioned review.

How about this one:
OSI — Free Review by eugene (eugene) Reviews guidelines suggest: Popped up just a minute ago.
He states he "cannot say anything about this album", thinks it's very bad but doesn't explain why... and goes on rambling about the review guidelines instead!

No, I copied part of guidelines to underline what exactly I would like to say about this album, but not allowed by the rules. My reaction to this album can be honestly expressed only in rude words which others might find unappropriate here. This album is downright bad, previous reviews are misleading, and I feel obliged to prevent other prog-listeners from bying this rubbish. As long as totalitarian system censorship got my review deleted and my 1 star rating is not counted, I will have to take my time to find some polite expressions to describe this album. I must however protest the deletion, and state that quick "abuse-reporters" like Antennas are doing wrong to this site. I beleive that if my review stayed longer time it could prevent people who generally like OSI (like myself) from wasting their money on this piece...

Well, Snow Dog, tastes are different, no question about that. I was astonished in a worst possible way by how bad this album is, and my "review" was posted for a single purpose to alert others, who like OSI first work and read 4-5 stars reviews of this one on this site, that this album might be not exactly to their likings. I did same in the way meant to get attention of those who can read and think (or at least I hoped it would), but instead I got my review deleted or hidden or whatever, notwithstanding that I fully followed guidelines. I will prepare another review, but I am really pissed off by the fact that there always are "abuse-reporters" who are very fast to inform on something they narrowmindedly consider being inappropriate, instead of allowing time to think and try to understand what the review means.
And, by the way, I listened to Free five times already, and IMO it's really bad..., sorry.

This person claims to work with InsideOut Music (LaBrie's label). Could it be that maybe it's a bit nebulous and fanboyish? Says NOTHING about the record (yes; I know I harp on that, but-IMO-if you're gonna harp on why a record is so great, make your reason(s) solid.
JAMES LABRIE — Elements Of PersuasionReview by JedHead (Dane Sammis) WOW! Now, granted I might be a bit bias because I am both a diehard James LaBrie fan and I work with Inside Out music, but wow. When I got this album a month and a half before it hit the stores, it had hourly radio play at our station. Even the DJ's who are not into prog, metal, rock, etc. played it. Is it a masterpiece? No, of course not. That title is reserved for maybe a dozen albums. But this is a wounderful peice of music. James delivers another outstanding preformance, maybe his best since Scenes From a Memory, well, The Human Equation is close. |

Due to your reply, I,ve read the other "free" reviews and there is nothing misleading about them at all. You didn't folloow guidelines either as your review is too short. |

You forgot to add "nothing misleading in my opinion", as in my opinion five stars review of an album which does not deserve a single star is VERY misleading.

Its a fact that they are not misleading. By reading the text it is clear that the album differs from the first. Youre "review" however, if it can be called that, is absolutely misleading. No stars!!!!! Sorry thats plain wrong. |

Eugene, how about you describe the music and tell what exactly you dislike about it next time? Otherwise, your review has practically no point whatsoever, it just gives the impression of a terribly written review, not a terribly written album.
