Here's a new rant:
Let me post here a letter I wrote to one of my teachers this past semester. He was the worst teacher I have ever had. notice I refer to him as "teacher", not "professor", because he doesn't even have a master's degree, yet somehow he's teaching a college course in continuous and discrete systems to Junior level electrical engineers... This man made me more angry and stressed than any other human ever has. He actually curved the final exam DOWN so my 88% only counted as a C. what a douchebag.
so here it is:
Mr. xxxxxxx,
Imagine being back in undergrad, and going to class with a teacher who does so many things wrong that he's near impossible to learn from. This teacher consistently makes mistakes during lecture, and while doing proofs, will write himself into a corner, discover his mistake, and instead of fixing it, he will wave his hands and write the answer. Imagine trying to understand difficult material in these conditions. When he writes on the board, most of the writing is totally illegible, and when he makes mistakes, he rubs it out with his finger instead of using an eraser, making the scrawl even more difficult to read. You attend every single lecture, but you rarely learn anything. Imagine that this man has a GTA who is clearly a hardworking, intelligent girl, who has to lecture to the class on occasion, but when she does, the teacher corrects her constantly and treats her as if she were a stupid child. This teacher, after the first exam, chooses a small group of exceptional students, and chooses to only listen to the opinions of these select few for the rest of the semester. Imagine that this teacher spends more than half the semester "teaching" material that was not even on the class syllabus, and spends very little time on more important material. This teacher assigns homeworks that consume entirely too much of your time and deal with superfluous proofs instead of actual engineering applications. Imagine, then, that after a semester of hardwork and mediocre return that you decide to study extra hard for the final exam and you earn a B+ on it, which is a pretty good grade for this class. But, then of course, the worst is not over. You find out that your teacher decided to turn your hard-earned B+ into a C, because it's "raw statistical data".
Understandably, you would be pretty be frustrated with this "teacher", who in fact wasn't even the teacher you signed up for, but a last minute substitute.
Mr. xxxxxx, you are easily and by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. I really wanted to learn this material, but I now disdain it because of you. I hope you feel no sense of accomplishment for your "teaching" this semester, and I hope no students are ever subjected to your "teaching" again.
Sincerely,
yeah, this guy sucks. but so far I've received no reply.
EDIT: I probably shouldnt post his name here... just in case.

I hate Amazon.com and hope I will never have to order anything from them again! This piece-of- company is apparantly so congested with orders that they can't even ship a cd or book to me in a reasonable amount of time, not to mention they have the selection and incredibly overpriced cds. I ordered the Marillion biography Seperated Out before Christmas. After delaying the shipping date for two months--keeping my hopes up BTW--they emailed and said they didn't even have the thing!!! Just now, I found out they delayed my Aisles cd until late June-early July. Dejau vu?!?!! Well Amazon, their selection, and their delayed orders (with no form of compensation at all!!!!!)

You're just unlucky, I've had no issues with Amazon!
But I am using them less and less, because there is cheaper available.

Someone stole my CD player, FOR THE FOURTH TIME. Ugh. At least it
didn't have a CD in it, unlike last time, where I had to buy Dark Side
of the Moon again. No prog for me for a couple days.

People who listen to sh*tty music in their cars really loud. It's bad enough for the poor souls trapped inside, but must the rest of the world be forced to listen to that rubbish? Honestly, how can you even enjoy the music if it's turned up so loud that people can hear it a mile away. Every time I hear somebody blasting some sh*tty rap obnoxiously loud, I feel like I must listen to some real music in order to redeem myself. And I also hate when people wear popped collars. They look so incredibly stupid!

But he is!
Apparently Dave Matthews has just hit the UK! He's got a whole concert on the radio over here soon.

The bass player from DMB has guested with Gov't Mule, my second favourite band. Stefan Lessard his name is.

^ I get pretty obnoxiously loud. I have a sub in the trunk, which really pounds when I roll down the windows and sing Genesis.

I wonder what people think of Taal blasting out loud... or PoS... or god forbid, VdGG! They must think I'm the devil incarnate.
I quite agree Mike, boyracers in souped up hatchbacks playing Hip-Hop stupidy loud.
I call it "Traffic Light Music".
