She is very talented. Her 'Ray of Light' album was excellent. 'Music' was not bad too. Her last single was dreadful IMO, and a massive creative step backwards, although the pop buying population would disagree.

Agree about Ray of Light - but I didn't like Music too much.

Of course, I look up to her, since she was the energetic force that made the prog scene rise once again and without her there would be no 90's prog revival... but I still prefer Genesis and ELP myself!

Now it's funny that you should say that Ray of Light is a good album. It's the only one I like too. I actually bought it. Embarrassed I wonder why that album is so much better than the others?
 
You have to give Madonna credit - she has been popular for over 20 years, constantly changing and re-inventing herself. Few people could do that.
 
She's not stunningly beautiful but she makes the best of what she has.

^ It's because the album was made under the influence of William Orbit. Actually I like to think of it as a William Orbit album with Madonna on vocals.
