Okay.  I will post a lyric.  The next person not only needs to identify the artist/band and the next part of the lyric, but then post another lyric (by another band) that uses at least one word of the first lyric (other than just "the," "and," or other connector).  Thus, if I posted "Another one bites the dust," someone would answer "Queen" and "and another one gone," and then post a lyric such as "Dust in the wind."  The next person would answer "Kansas" and "all we are is dust in the wind," and then post a lyric with the word "dust" or "wind.

Get it?  It's not as easy as it sounds.  But it should be fun!  Here we go....

"Breath deep, the gathering gloom..."

That's "Living Sin" by ELP but I'v never been quite sure what the next line is. I think it's something like "That savage women makes you bleed"

I'll throw in an easy one "Stand and fight we do consider".

btw I don't get the connection between "Romeo locks his basement flat, and scurries up the stairs..." and "Meanwhile back in the year One,when you belonged to no one...". Or have I misunderstood as usual?

Oh sorry I was writing my post when you posted yours. Embarrassed

I don't feel like deleting it though because I spent time searching for a song with the word "consider" in the lyrics Wink

^ That's "The Revealing Science of God". We're a bit stuck in a Yes groove here!

That's Close to the Edge but mine wasn't The revealing science of God. It was Ritual (nous sommes du soleil) Wink

Now:

"He tries to make her afraid by not being afraid."

Its The Beastie Boys "Your pop caught you smoking and he said no way" is the next lyric i think.

"Your not quitting on us there's no way out, no way out"
Another emotional suicide, overdosed on sentiment and pride

Peter Gabriel - "don’t leave us, don't leave like this" should be the next line.

"Everything seems so easy this way"
