Sting on base. Also The Chilli Peppers could probably pull it off.

Katche, but Neal Schon was in Journey when they were a Prog band, so that kinda disqualifies him from your list.

I took that into consideration; however, the man is such a great (yet underrated) guitarist and figured prog would welcome him back.

The Edge hates prog, so he doesn't count either.

Chris Martin would fit perfectly if he played a more prog sound.

I would say Pete Townsend or Plant/Page if they were on the list.

True, but he's played with more non Prog acts methinks.

This is a really tough call, but I'll have to go with Neal Schon only because he was in the original Journey along with fellow Santana mate Greg Rollie.

I give an "honorable mention" to Chris Martin, for the reason cited earlier in this poll: that Coldplay is approaching a more prog sound.

hmmm, I would like to see Mike McCready prog out!
I really enjoy Pearl Jam stuff,

but Chris Martin............smug, whingey, irresponsible, selfish little git I would say. So if that could be prog, then yes, i agree with him also.
