Cripes, that's the best list you came up with?

How about....

HENDRIX, Jimi "ELECTRIC LADYLAND"

QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE "QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE"

H.P. LOVECRAFT "H.P. LOVECRAFT1"

H.P. LOVECRAFT "H.P. LOVECRAFT 2"

ANDWELLAS DREAM "LOVE AND POETRY"

MOVING SIDEWALKS, The "FLASH"

MUSIC EMPORIUM "MUSIC EMPORIUM"

HENDRIX, Jimi "ARE YOU EXPERIENCED ?"

HENDRIX, Jimi "AXIS BOLD AS LOVE"

LOVE "FOREVER CHANGES"

BLUES MAGOOS "PSYCHEDELIC LOLLIPOP" (1966) / "ELECTRIC COMIC BOOK" (1967)

BYRDS, The "YOUNGER THAN YESTERDAY"

COUNTRY JOE AND THE FISH "ELECTRIC MUSIC FOR THE MIND AND BODY"

FREEBORNE, The "PEAK IMPRESSIONS"

BROWN, Arthur "CRAZY WORLD OF ARTHUR BROWN"

CREAM "DISRAELI GEARS"

GANDALF "GANDALF"

JEFFERSON AIRPLANE "SURREALISTIC PILLOW"

FLEUR DE LYS, Les "REFLECTIONS"

And that's just a few from my collection - there are probably many more great albums that I have not listed. Not a criticism but most of your list is Krautrock and not what I'd have called overtly psych.

Just have AHM by PF, so it get's my vote. I think you should have chose TPATGOD or ASOS instead of AHM though, since AHM only contains one real psychedelic piece: Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast

Ahhh - that's not a difference I would recognize. A new distinction to me! On that basis, surely Piper is more hippie than rock?

Not as psychedelic as the two other ones I've mentioned, but that doesn't mean that AHM is not psychedelic. There is just one song I would say that is psychedelic and that is Alan's Psych-Breakfast.
Atom Heart Mother the track is more of a space/symphonic prog epic.

not only most (possibly all) of the listed items are "psychedelic prog", many of them are indeed Krautrock... (of course this doesn't mean they're not psychedelic at all...)
Glueman is right, his list are more "psychedelic"... I mean, basics, those not transformed into prog...

My favorite??
Sorry, apart from a handful of albums which I don't know plus Pink Floyd, I cannot discriminate between ANY of them... All are simply great...
Maybe I'd go for the Jokers, since it includes many great musicians of the scene altogether... (and they didn't even know they were going to be a "supergroup" at the time of the recordings!!!)
Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret:
Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

more "symphonic" than psychedelic, IMHO...
A saucerful of secrets or Meddle would better fit in there...

Agreed... that's a pretty major oversight.

"Tips..." is a brilliant album - and so rarely discussed.

Superb call!!

However, I don't think that "AMH" qualifies as a psychedelic rock album - "Meddle" and "DSOTM" are both way more psychedelic.

I voted for Yeti.
The important thing is not to stop questioning.
