My order for "Pink Floyd - Live At KQED Studios 1970" on DVD has just been deleted by Amazon apparently due to cancellation by the maunfacturer. Does anyone know what's going on with this (informed opinions only please - no guessing).
If it was produced, as I suspect, by Classic Rock Productions, who have produced some almighty garbage in recent years, I'm not surprised at the cancellation. On that point, their website is now offline, any ideas there?

This performance is freely available through trades in excellent quality already. Here is a link to the Harvested DVD cover which should give you all the details you need:

The track listing is in the Pink Floyd section on this site. Thanks for the trade link but I'm not interested in a bootleg version - prefer to wait until the official release - if ever, of course.

Soup??

Ah it was but there was light on the horizon. Alas, it was pulled!!

This is the current status - since going unavailable...

It might have been one of those fake adverts to see how much interest was generated Another possibility may have been a genuine desire to release but then it ran into some licencing issue. Who know?

You should not let the fact the Harvested DVD is a bootleg bother you. It has been beautifully restored by the Harvested Team and looks and sounds as good as you are ever likely to see it. I am reasonably sure it would have beaten any issue by our 'friends' at Classic Crock Productions.LOL

PM me if anyone wants to trade.

I have a "bootleg" copy of this GREAT Pink Floyd show, and it looks and sounds fantastic!! The show was recorded at the KQED studios, and was broadcast on PBS in June, 1970. Just the 4 Floyds in a dark studio, doing what they do best. The songs are all full performances, Like Cymbiline with the pre-recorded tapes in the middle of the song. This is a very laid-back performance, with no audience. This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd shows that I own, but who knows if the Floyd will ever release this officially. I personally have tons of "never officially released" Floyd, and I feel no need to wait on the Floyd to get around to it. They have had over 30 years to release this, if they were going to, it should have already happened. Some of the best Floyd video footage I have is stuff they have never "Officially released". So to all of you that just can't bring yourself to buy anything unless it's some overpriced "official" product, your missing out on some of the best Floyd footage out there.

I totally agree.

I gave up on waiting for official releases years ago.

If they come along, fine, but life is too short.Smile

Hey - don't get me wrong - being precious about bootlegs was not the reason I wanted the official release. I have around 10 Floyd bootleg cds and have no problem with buying stuff that would never otherwise see the light of day.

Well it could be cos its a DVD which is well over-priced yet somehow goes without Pink Floyd or KQED's official say-so, and is thus sourced from bootleg sources!

I personnally have the bootleg version and it looks very good. I just don't really like the show. It's a good show but it gets boring after a moment. That's my opinion of course Embarrassed

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

I remember watching the show on PBS, re-broadcast in the mid-70's.  It's ridiculous that this hasn't had an official release.
