I'm wondering whether it was intended or by mistake that Icelandic rare band from early 70s SVANFRIDUR has been put under progressive Metal. First their music didn't have anything to do with Metal and second the term "Metal" did not exist yet during that time anyway. I would definitely suggest to place it under Art Rock or Proto-Prog although for the latter one their music was already too sophisticated I'd say.

To be prog or not to be, that's not the question!

To be really honest, I have never heard of this band before... but you mentioned that it is a rare band yourself.

Is there a place where to hear some audio samples?

I thank you very much Dieter Tongue

I'll come back on it as soon as I've come around listening to it!

That is a bit strange, as they're probably the only band from the 70's classified as prog-metal. I'm pretty sure no one will object, if I move them to art-rock .. ? I'll wait a few hours before I make the change, though.
