Topic: Submitting a few tunes for critiques... Posted: May 10 2006 at 13:32 |
If anyone is interested, bored, up for a sonic challenge, playing hookey from school or the 9-5er, feelin' kinda lonely, or just needs something to keep their ears occupied, here's my Myspace page, I've got a 4 tunes that you can critique (download or stream, it's up to you, I just can't get you an order of fries or a coke to go with it right now, sorry!) and/or offer suggestions/your opinion on. I appreciate your time and attendence...
Note: all songs are from my last 3 CD's, so unfortunately I can't go back and re-record them with a new vocalist, or add "more cowbell" to them. Yikes!

Or you can gleam song samples from my website(s) listed in my sig file.
Thanks again in advance!

Awesome stuff man. Not a huge fan of the vocals, but the intrumental parts were very good.

Thanks, brother. Of course, those are just clips, most of the songs range from the 3-1/2 minute mark, to 9+ minutes (I didn't upload a clip of the instrumental for some odd - or not - reason. I think I was allowing for one "surprise" song upon purchase? lol.) Feel free to inquire within regarding obtaining a copy, but anyhow... thanks for taking the time to listen.

Scott:
I'm liking what I hear so far. Listening to Inferno at the moment. I hear your influences loud & clear. Good stuff!

Thanks for that. I'm kinda trying to drum up interest in my newer material.. fighting the turning tides of musical exposure against the corporate machinery.
Anyhow, it wasn't intentional that my influences are that apparent in my music, but of course, some are, regardless of my will, and I guess that is true for almost all musicians, to some degree. I won't go into specifics, but I think that's just par for the course... I've been trying to branch out (of course, song SAMPLES don't actually do the entire CD or it's concept/musical atmosphere, justice) and I think when you hit DEEP HORIZON you'll see a more modern take on prog rock/metal.
Of course, a different singer will bring that to the table as well...
