Free DVD to Avi converter?

   Where can I find a free DVD to avi converter. I've tried a lot of the trial versions, but with them you can only rip 30-50% of the clip. I'm trying to rip the 4 last minutes of a clip of a DVD I have, but haven't been able to do it with the trial versions. So I need a software which can either rip the whole clip or the last few minutes. And I don't want to buy one, because I won't need it after this. Thanks!

	http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdx DVDx allows you to convert DVD to VCD2.0 or SCVD1.0 or DiVX (AVI) or Windows Media (WMV) in one step (including multiplexing, splitting). It produces very good quality movies in AVI/MPEG1/MPEG2/WMV9 format you don't need to have 5GB or more free on your Hard Drive. This is "open source" ie free.

	MediaCoder is good, too. http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/ Another open source effort, although it's Windows only.

	Is it possible to find software to convert a DVD into MP3 because I just want to listen to it on my MP3 player without watching it.
