Well Tony, have a look on my review about the Pinkpop DVD, it features at about 6 minutes of the La Villa Strangiato performance by Rush on Pinkpop 1979 so it is available for any Rush fan. For me it is nostalgia because it was the first time I witnessed a Rush gig and it was the first time they played in Holland. Great to watch Alex and Geddy on their twin-neck guitars and what an impressive debut Clap !

This is from a June 4, 1979 show at the PinkPop festival in Geleen, Holand; the last performance of the Hemispheres European tour. Alex Lifeson hurt his finger because he had a very wild night with his wife, his finger came between the mattress and the bed. LOL  This is according to Tjerk Lammers, he was their press manager from WEA record company at that time. Cool

In 1979 the story in the music magazines was that Alex had hurt his finger because of a slammed door so .. what's true? I prefer the Tjerk Lammers story LOL . Anyway, I couldn't trace any negative effect on his playing that day, incredible, Alex & Co. made many fans that Pinkpop concert Clap !

Great days!
Rush generated incredible amounts of excitement in those heady days and were truly a legendary band.

Maybe in those days.  Footballers now look like the spoilt little ponces they are Wink

I keep trying to convince everyone in my office that the long haired look is the way to go, but they don't believe me.  Just imagine if long hair for men came back in fashion, it would be ace.

It depends on the hairdress of David Beckham, Mr. Metro-sexual. But long hair is commercially not interesting ...Confused ..
