Punky's Whips

It is on Zappa in New York. The song is not Zappa at his best.

Zappa is basically attacking Punky Meadows who was the guitarist for Angel. Angel's first two albums leaned towards progressive. They were the original hair band and they fell apart in the very early 80's.

I was wondering, are there other examples of artists going after each other? Do some prog artists hate each other? Not the ones who were in bands together and learned to hate each other, but ones who just plainly hate each other.

I guess I thought Bozzio was gay. That's his business but that was the impression I was left with.

I think most Progressive rock artist don't see the point in fighting. They are very intellegent people compared to say, 80's metal bands.

Not really attack, but more of an homage...... Meadows actually said he liked the song later on, it gave him a good laugh (I forget the source of that, but I read it somewhere). Great song though, one of my absolute favorites.
