Alot of people tell me prog is a musicians music, only people who can play get into it, im not entirely sure about this, so maybe this poll will help.

I think there are alot of people who get into prog first and then get inspired to start playing an instrument.  That's how it was for me, I've been playing guitar for about 5 years now.

Yes, I play music since I was 8 years old (I'm 35 now).I began playing Hammond organ at 8. At 13, I began playing guitar.I made a college degree in music when I was 25 in guitar and piano as second instrument.Since 10 years,I mostly play keyboards and considered myself more a keyboardist than a guitarist.Since 1996, I began collecting vintage instruments like a Hammond organ (L112), a mellotron M400 and a Wurlitzer EP200 electric piano and a Clavia Nord Lead (not exactly vintage but a hell of a synth!)and considered quite happy with what I got.The only instrument that I would like buying is a good monophonic synthesizer like a minimoog or an Arp Odyssey and a Leslie speaker for the Hammond organ.

Yes, I beleive that prog rock is mostly a musician's music. My friends who wasn't playing an instrument hates prog rock to death. On the other side, friends who are musicians like prog to death(myself included).LOL
