Topic: Prog Vegetarians Posted: April 21 2006 at 14:37 |
Seeing as though a lot of prog bands deal with quite spiritual matters in their lyrics, I was wondering how many prog stars are vegetarian? Or are there any members of Progarchives who are vegetarian?
I read that Geoff Tate of Queensryche is a vegetarian.
Please I don´t want this to turn into a debate about if we should or shouldn´t eat meat, I´m just curious to know which prog stars and members are vegetarians.

The vocalist from Pain of Salvation, that is interesting. I am actually planning on becoming a vegetarian too.
Ed The Dead, I´m interested to know what made you change to become vegetarian? Or PM me!

I saw your site Krusty, really quite interesting. I read that 660 000 animals are slaughtered every hour in USA, and I found it a bit disturbing to say the least.

thats a popular trend these days apparently. I worked at a pet store and we sold vegetarian dog and cat food. Its stupid because cat's can't handle anything but meat, dogs can because they're scavengers and eat almost anything.

There are MANY reasons to be vegetarian, including health reasons and environmental ones too. And some people even do it because they don't want to support factory farming for various reasons. I have been a vegetarian for almost 20 years and people guess my age as 10 years younger (or even more)...
I am against trying to make cats or dogs vegetarian however. They do need meat in order to be healthy.
