Topic: Gila classification error Posted: April 20 2006 at 06:53 |
Gila is classified into space/psych while it should belong to Krautrock IMO.

You should probably ask what Philippe thinks about the subject, but I moved them to krautrock for the time being.

I rather think that Gila is better in Psych/space given their debut album and the live posthumous release.
The second album , Bury my Heart is more in the Art Rock genre; IMHO
I think that Gila does not have much in terms of Krautrock musically speaking other than a slight ADII similarity.

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

OK, the first is space/psych, but the second is folk/krautrock feat. Florian Frick.

Good idea, i don't know it
Eventually you're true about the classification, only
"Burry my heart" can be classified "Krautrock" as it's quite Popol vuh influenced (at least in the mind)
