Topic: Help Name the band Posted: April 18 2006 at 12:39 |
Love Said Demeter is a Chicago, IL project creating some of the
most unique organic progressive music. We have found our
name to be severly limiting because its hard to hear/understand.
Many of you are listeners of our favorite artists. What are your
band name suggestions?
Music can be heard at www.myspace.com/lovesaiddemeter.
Thanks guys, this isnt easy....

One word band names seem to be the best.
I have listen to your music on my space and i have to say
the music is pretty good, However you need a vocalist that has a more narrative and charismatic voice
The lyrics also are lacking in conceptional content and need better structure. The music is good
and has some very good arrangements but the ending to Thalia seems way too long because there are no changes.
Please take this as constructive criticism. Work on these areas and you could be a fantastic band

Is your acronym indicative of the type of music you play? (is it pyschedelic?)

some ideas here, Xenoxen,
thanks for listening. i really appreciate the comments, you are
right on with our own internal dilemas. Finding a singer for this
kind of music is very difficult, a singer that can sing instrumentally
heh.
The music can be refered to as pychadelic i guess, lots of people think
so...all these songs are written out of recorded freeform improv.

Hi guys. I'm in the band as well. I'm here to give you some more information on our band. We started with a lot of improv and I guess you could call our band psychadelic, but we've recently undergone a shift towards composition. There are also aspects of prog-rock, space-rock, jazz, fusion, and funk in our music. It really varies from song to song. The energy of the song is of the utmost importance to us.
BTW, I like Nevergreen. : )

"Solar Escape" does sound better, its more direct and simple... If only
we could get www.solarescape.com taken away from the tanning salon,
they dont deserve it :~)
