What's it for you ... do you use Napster to listen to prog music?
I do - and I'm quite pleased with their selection. Right now I think I have access to more than 1000 prog albums for just 10 EUR/month ... a damn good deal if you ask me. Sure, you can't keep the files once you cancel the subscription - but why would I want to cancel it? Buying these albums would cost me 10,000 EUR, and can be a subscriber for more than 80 years (!) before the total subscription cost would exceed that purchase price.
I used to have an extensive list of the current prog artists - just to give you an idea I'll give you some numbers from my winamp:
- Rush (nearly complete discography)
- Frank Zappa (nearly complete discography)
- Ozric Tentacles (8 albums)
- Allan Holdsworth (8 albums)
- Tom Waits (numerous albums)
- Echolyn (10 albums)
- Opeth (6 albums)
- Mogwai (5 albums)
- Vintersorg (5 albums)
- ...
- ...
Trust me, the list is endless!
