Topic: What song would you want at your funeral? Posted: December 20 2005 at 16:38 |
I prefer crematoriums, so "Into The Fire" by Deep Purple is a good choice.

Maybe Jean-Michel Jarre - "Rendez-Vous Part 6", very haunting stuff!

I also thought about that song, but it would fit better for a wedding I guess.
I don't know what i'd like to be played at my funeral. Maybe some Explosions in the Sky?

I'd quite like the theme from 'Thunderbirds' and have my coffin dressed
up like Pod 4. Pity I wouldn't be there to see it as it trundles away
behind the curtain.

Porcupine Tree - Trains
King Crimson - Fallen Angel
That's all I can think of right now.

Well, I don't want to give a lecture here, but you know sound is vibration of the air, and that vibration is transmitted to your inner ear, causing vibration of some structures there, and you know about rigor mortis... But... how did you know I had not been dead before?
Anyway, let me tell you that if for a moment I had taken this thread seriously my choice would have been very close to yours: 6th movement of the 3rd Symphony for me! (preferably as conducted by Simon Rattle). But I still prefer to listen to it whilst I'm alive...
And in a different set of things: what's up with your photo/avatar? They are coming and going away all the time...
