Asia first line up today reformed.

For me ASIA and ALPHA... Equivalents. And for you?

For always yours, Mandrakeroot.

What? Did they reform???

Great!

For me the songs on the debut album are much better than the songs on Alpha. So it's Asia for me! It's even a candidate for my list of 20 favourite albums ever!

I've always preferred Alpha more than Asia.

But I'm not very interested in the whole reunion thing. I had pleasure seeing Asia live in last december (Downes/Payne/Govan/Schellen) and I found that line-up brilliant. I also got autographs from each of them and managed to chat with them few minutes. Nice gentlemen all of them. I was very disappointed to hear that they dissolved their partnership.

The cover art for Alpha and the album itself are much better than the first album.

Did Steve Howe join them this time?

I thought he and John Wetton hated one another.

Alpha - it's got Open Your Eyes. Easily my favourite track from the 80s by any band, any genre!!!!

Alpha, IMO is not half as good as S/T.  Even though it has one of my favorite Asia songs - The Last To Know.
