Still good for a prime time, mainstream breakfast show, dont you think? Genesis, Yes and ELP did get a mention in a favourable light too!

Don't knock it, mate!

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I heard motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson say, in an interview, that he liked Focus. The young lady replied, 'That's bollocks Jeremy'.

Apparently 'comedian' Jim Davidson has the first five ELP albums in the CD player of his Roll Royce. My car doesn't even have a CD player!

Former NME jounalist Stuart Maconie claims to like progressive music.

Actor Kevin Costner is a Yes fan. I think Jon Anderson once mentioned that.

DJ Tiesto really likes Sigur Ros and Frank Klepacki likes Rush, and some other prog like Tool and Crimson i'm pretty sure.

Well he does play a fair bit of prog on his freakzone show on BBC Radio 6.

This weeks featured album Starless and Bible Black.

One of the member of The Ramones (I can't remember his name) was a fan of Emerson Lake & Palmer, and he used to hide it to the punk audience. Weird, isn't it?

Jenny Agutter (foxy British film actress from the 70s) picked Bouree by Jethro Tull when she appeared on the Desert Island Discs radio show.

Never had her down as a progger, but then according to Ian Anderson, JT aren't really prog...

Best friends: Johnny Rotten & Keith Emerson(at the Nordoff-Robbins Musical Therapy launch in Los Angeles, March 22nd)

Rotten: "But the biggest fun of the night was meeting Keith Emerson, of Emerson Lake & Palmer (laughs), I really got on well with him! It’s amazing how this music industry wants us to be enemies, and we’re not."

Of course Johnny Rotten likes prog. Anyone who has listened to P.I.L. can understand why.

Yup, he namechecked them in "School Of Rock" too, while handing out CDs to the kids: "Pay close attention to the keyboard solo on 'Roundabout'."

He also tried to join Can at one point, and also the Sex Pistols tried to get Syd Barret to sing one of their albums, but Syd refused after all he was too far gone.

Mike Myers is a fan of Rush.

Although true that a portion of Rush's catalog is decidedly not "prog", their "prog period" could hold its own with similar periods of "true" prog bands such as Yes and Genesis.

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.
