I did it, Iván...

But I really stayed curious since the reviewer may be an African and I'd like to know "The Voices of Africa".

Andrea Salavador has written two reviews for the George Michael Queen Tribute album on the first page under two different forum names. Just click on the album link and see.

More like a joke, there are online dictionaries from  Swahili and Afrikaans to English (Yeah, I was curious also), and none reports matches.

Unless it's Zulu or some dialect, but again not probably, because in most African countries English or French is spoken in the cities and normally the people that only speak dialects don't use PC's.

Most surely an April's Fool joke

Iván

Ah! Much probably an April Fool's Day joke... this is a tradition we are losing here in Brazil, since the government makes us fool everyday.

PINK FLOYD "Dark Side of the Moon"

It's a good albem, but there wasn't much there for me and it didn't really keep me instreated. There was to many gaps to keep me drawn in with the music and it Would have been better if they had more memorible solos. Good but no where near great. 2.5 stars for me.

Not abuse, just a cockup. One of the following two reviews of the same album needs to be deleted as they were both done by the same person.

DISCIPLINE Unfolded Like Staircase
5 stars by gdub411 (Greg Waters)
When I 1st heard this cd I would have said 3 stars as I felt the music meanders aimlessly too much and lacked a bit of structure...even for prog. But I found that the more I listened to it the better it became. This is definitely a grower lp. Eventually, when I could predict what part was coming next, I realized the subtle intricate structures and musical undertones that were subtlely interwoven with the overall music and then became aware that the overall quality musianship was quite good and interesting. I wouldn't rate them as the next King Crimson or Gentle Giant as far as complexity is concerned, but they won't dissapoint either. The tasteful blend between the 90's era of angst and the traditional era of prog make this THE prog masterpiece of the 90's.

The opening track Canto IV is a perfect example of that 90's angst and traditional prog I was referring above. A great opening track that sets the mood for this very dark cd. However, it is only a sampling of what is yet to come....

Crutches....perhaps my favorite tune on here just oozes with such bitter and desperate emotion. Parmenter's desperate cry for help is so heartwrenching it will emotionally move any listener to tears or at least a bit of sadness. A precaution to any listeners with fragile psyches, you may want to veer away from this lp until you're in a better frame of mind.

Into The Dream is the true epic tune on this cd as it spans over 20 minutes. It takes one into the mind of someone who is about to go over the edge as the person desperately tries to fight his inner demons. Parmenter's almost psychotic lyrics on this one are at times truly frightening, anfd the music that encompasses it, perfectly reflect this as it seems to spiral out of control using many tempo changes to pull this off. At 1st it is hard to keep up with, but once you grasp this tune, it is quite rewarding.

Before the Storm Part 1..I always thought this tune should have been 1st on the cd while pt 2 should have been the culmination right after Into The Dream. Perhaps my only complaint for this cd and a minor one at that, therefore a give this a full 5 stars.

Cheers.....Gdub411

It's happening all the time, Fitz... since reviewers are forgetting to link their names to the registered PA e-mail adress and so they believe they have to do a new registration. To be dealt with...

Anyway, grato pela ajuda!

TOOL Lateralus
5 stars
by third_wing
It's so unbelievable this stuff. It changed the way I look at music and where I want to end up as a musician at some point in my career. When I saw them live in concert on the Lateralus tour I was mezmerized. These guys are like gods to some people. I think they are amazing.....It felt like I was in another world when I saw these guys. I cannot wait for the next album. Honestly I don't think they can ever produce something as strong and glorious as this ever again. But hopefully they will prove me wrong. Amazing.

Just an excitement. And that's it. Who knows for what? What about music?

An amazing release from one of the greatest Rock/Metal acts that have been able to receive a decent amount of media coverage. This album and their previous release show the full potential of the band. The combo of heavy Tribal patterns, complex Riff writing and the emotional out pour of singer Maynard all combine into an amazing work of art. An album that truely inspires dreams in the listener.

Not much better than previous one. You can't get an idea what is this album about.

Just a quick point about Andrea Salvador who has posted reviews under MANDRAKEROOT, Symphonic Age and his own name over the last three years ... he did ask that all reviews be brought under the name MANDRAKEROOT ... I'll do this when I have time ... if there are two reviews, ditch the older one ...

Overall though the reviews still need cleaning up with help perhaps from an Italian speaking friend?

And there's the issue of braindamage, our other prolific non-English speaking reviewer who uses an online translator!

"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
