"The Machine That Cried" is their masterpiece, written by Chris Adams while he was patient. The music mixed CAN, CURVED AIR and LINDISFARNE. In my opinion they should be included!!!

You have to worry that a band wanting to be selected into the prog archives has a song covered by the Bay City Rollers....It's a Game.

I'd say they're a pretty marginal case. The self-titled first album is
sunshine pop in the style of MAMAS & THE PAPAS and the second (also
self-titled) is fairly mainstream rock. In its original form, "The Machine
That Cried" contained two outstanding progressive rock tracks
("Heartfeeder" and "River Of Sleep"), but the label severely edited the
latter before release rendering this album fairly mainstream too. I haven't
heard the latter two LPs or any of their retrospective live releases.

Capability Brown is absolutely brilliant, both From Scratch and Voice are beautiful masterpieces.

Best to start a new thread suggesting them (if that's your intention).

The album has been re-released in it,s original form without the editing.
I,m for them on PA.
Besides,I honestly thing that their first album is a lot more acid then anything the mamas and papas ever did.
