the co-founder of the Berlin School on Electronics has quite a catelog of albums.

What do you consider his best?

I would say that Moondawn was a landmark album and Body Love improved on the concept. The rest are hit and miss IMO. Timewind to Mirage to X are probably along the lines of what I would call next up. The Cosmic Jokers Galactic Supermarket is probably his best collaboration as he works basically with Ash Ra Temple, Wallenstein and Dieter Derks. So my top 3 would be:

Klaus Schulze - Moondawn

Klaus Schulze - Body Love

Cosmic Jokers - Galactic Supermarket

NEXT!

Cyborg and Irrlicht are his best albums.

Moondawn is my favorite Klaus Schulze album  : great sequencing, wonderful Farfisa organ and exciting fat Moog synthesizer runs, his most captivating effort in my opinion and Timewind is second best.

IMHO. I believe he was in the middle of a 'purple patch' around the time of Moondawn. Innovative!

So guys, I don't have any Schulze and really want too check his classic period out.  Where do I start?  I was thinking about starting with X since it's a double album and seems too be loved by many.  Is this the place too start?  I'm not worried about it being a "Hard" listen and will give it the proper many spins to sink in if necessary.  Laser's Edge has the remaster along with many other releases by him so it won't be a problem too locate.

I personally would start at Timewind or Black Dance. Then work back toward Irrlich and forward toward X.Then take in some Cosmic Jokers and Ash Ra Tempel once you have familiarised yourself with his music.
In other words;Start in the mid-70s and work out-ward both ways.back and forth..Ooo-er.
