...Hi guys!

Everything was fine, we were nicely surprised by good cuisine, excellent beer (hard to choose between 25 strains of beers), beautiful city with a blend of medieval architecture and avant-garde modernity.

The french delegation spent a nice Sunday which started very well with a copious nordic breakfast, i eventally found the great coffeeshop i was looking for ("The creemers") which offers a wide selection of bio weeds and clean imported hash (From red libanese to Nepalese), real good.

We bought a few more CD, gone to the sea side...

great weekend, great people, great food, great beer, great drugs( apparently) and then some..

Thanx to Tony for having chosen a really nice hotel with an excellent breakfast: smoked skipper for breakfast just makes my day and to Erik & Tony for sightseeing us around Den Haag and thanx to all the others for having been there

additional thanx to some very helpful Den Haag Mädjes(?) who helped us out on sunday when we lost our way...

(the only negative point: it was freezing cold, they should have heated up 'Den Haag' slightly more)maybe this is the reason why we look so 'fresh' on the photo...

...it was great fun, looking forward to the next one

PS: Le Triton is not directly  in Paris, it's in a close suburb called 'Les Lilas' , but it's still in the Metro area and not very far.

Hello Oliverstoned (and Alucard and Christophe, our new collaborator?).

Tell me soon about the Pink Floyd dvd  and the new Riverside album , OK?

Good to read that you had a good weekend and that you enjoyed yourself very much, also on Sunday (coffeeshop The Cremers is very known ). We will meet again!

Hello, this is Bea, the sister of BaldJean. We were in a car-crash when we were on our way to the Hague ; the kids and I are unharmed, but Friede broke her left foot and had to have surgery, and Jean broke her right upper arm (she had grabbed the hand-rail when we crashed, and it was twisted), and she needed surgery too because a nerve was squeezed, and her right hand was partially paralysed because of that. The feeling is back now, but it will take some time until she fully regains her strength. We are sorry we couldn't attend the meeting, but grateful that nothing worse happened.

The restaurant was an idea from Erik, yeah it was a great day overall.

Joren and SeanTrane, I won't forget the Klingon part !!

Martin, yes it was freezing cold. It took me 3 coffees ( the regular ones  ) to warm up. Madjes ?, I think you mean - meisjes ( girls )  ? Or matjes , which is something completely different.

Cheers, guys !!

Hello Bea.

What a terrible news about the car accident! We wish you all (physically and mentally) a good recovery, how sad that this happens, everybody was looking forward to The Baldies!

That is awful news Bea, I am sorry to hear that.  But at the same time, I am glad everyone is alive, it must have been an awful experience.

I am sure most people who know the baldies will have them in their thoughts, I know I will.  Get well soon girls.

Thank you for letting us know, it's much appreciated.

Finally back in the UK and just heard about Jean and Friede - I've posted a get well message on the other thread.

I'll try to get my photos onto CD and posted in the next week or so.

Oh my God! And some of us were thinking you girls chickened out... while you were in an accident!  I'm glad that you are all alive, and I hope that Jean and Friede will be fully recovered soon!

cretainly puts a damper on my enthusiasm about this WE

to think that on the way to having a good time, you happened to come so close to total disaster

Well everyboody is alive (and almost well) and surely this is the most important

My thinking was that maybe one of the kids might have been sick or something but could not imagine they would not call to warn us

Makes us feel bad for thinking they had chickened out, but by Sunday afternoon not seeing you post something on the Forum, I was starting to think of this possibility, but kept quiet about it!!!

I was too, but I always consider the worst scenario.  I am just glad everything is (relatively) all right and everyone is alive.
