In my Moonlight Circus' "Outskirts of Reality" review I made a "tapping" mistake, but it's rather horrible to see for me... Please can you edit it? After the short instrumental intro “Nightfall” comes the weak “Silver Surfer”, just a power metal track with awful vocals (on the verse “Forever fly, lonely herald, fly lonely lonely lonely lonely herald fly” the singer, in my opinion, seems an annoying imitation of Roger Plant!)… The correct name is Robert Plant, of course!

Some guys here do not respect anyone of the guidelines but others do not do their jobs, either!!!!! Look at this weirdo's review - in the archives over the last four days and nobody noticed it KRAAN Wintrup — Second album from this very interesting jazz-kraut-rock group having a major blow with their artistic freedom, but wanting to stay sufficiently accessible and therefore reasonably wise. This will not mean that these guys will sign you lullabies, right Guigo! Their second and still self-produced record is slightly more restrained and definitely more succinct “propos musical”, and should get our review moderators up on their feet and awake, just as the tone of the album hints at after that oh-so-very-little slightly self-indulgent debut.
However nicely succinct the album maybe, it sometimes lacks the space to expand the themes or ideas. Maybe not that many ideas also a tad uninspired at times. This should of course sadden my friend Bob McFripp, but he should know that the raw sound has been preserved and the energy is intact. The mid-song and mid-tempoed section of the opening Silver Wings is still there to prove everything is still intact, but all too short. But they probably had some artistic directives from Mr. Rivičre, as the obvious cost of making such a record holds obvious guidelines for a proper administration of either a small label such as Spiegelei or such as big site as our beloved Archives. Kraan did manage to get this and the following released in the States, but certainly not without Maxime Roy’s investment. Overall a not-as exhilarating album, but nevertheless very worthy record. I am just checking to see if this review will get read by the review masters so have to keep talking about an album whose highlights are Backs and Gut & Richting. Not quite as enthralling as their debut, if I do not get a remark for this semi-spoof-review, I will have to give a much more negative review in the quality audit of the Prog Reviewing Fraternity headed by Trotsky, this record is not indispensable, hence the three star rating. But I must be fair to the group and to me, please be aware that I hate conniving snitches, always ready to cheat me of a trick of the tail, so this remains to the prospective progheads investigating into this interesting group. Has this guy nothing better to do than waste his time pointing out his colleagues's weaknesses laughing at the straw in their eyes but not noticing he has a bam in his eyes.

Hmmmmmmmmm... you got it, Hugues. However, as I trust greatly our PRS and SCs all I do is separate their reviews to read them comfortably installed every 10-15 days. In fact, not to comment, but simply to learn about the albums and how to make a review. Anyway, I like it. Edited by Atkingani |

Wow, so many references to actual reviewers... You could have called it a tribute review! Thanks for fixing my review, Atkingani. That's the third time I screw up, and I've written only eight reviews yet. Well, people have to start somewhere. -- Ivan |

Would it be intolerant of me to say that, instead of calling out other reviewers, one should REVIEW THE ALBUM on its own? |

(Studio Album, 2006) Avg: 3.63/5 from 8 ratings QUEENSRYCHE "Operation : Mindcrime II" Review (Permanent link) by The Gyrations Posted 7:42:52 PM EST, 3/21/2006 I'd say for new Queensryche standards it'san outstanding album. I think I might put it above Rage for Order or Empire but it's too soon to tell. And being that it's not released yet it's difficult to see how others feel about it. I thought it was great and I liked the fact that Pamela not only came back but had a lot of parts and Dio that back and forth with Geoff and him was outstanding. As a Queensryched album I don't know if it truly lives up to the first one but it is truly a great album as far as album standards go. Nothing about music really and what's more, as he admits, the album hasn't been released yet - so what is he exactly reviewing? PS. How do you quote reviews? I just copied and pasted the text and the stars separately... |
