Ive noticed that most of my favorite new prog bands are on the Inside Out Record label 9i.e. California Guitar Trio, Threshold, Spocks Beard, Flower Kings, IQ, Symphony X, Proto-Kaw, Arena, Steve Hackett, and the Tangent.  A few band who like that arent on this label are, The Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree, and Dredg.

Why are all the new bads on the Inside Out label?

What new prog bands arent on the Inside Out Label?

Inside Out is a massive supporter of prog (even if their CD's are extortionatly priced). Their clearly makeing a success out of it as they've been going for a couple of years.

Other bands on the label include:

Evergray
Ayreon
Asia
Vanden Plas
Transatlantic
OSI
Devin Townsend
Star One
Planet X
etc...

I dont think IQ are on the IO label though as the logo doesnt appear on their last album Dark Matter (even though it is advertised on Inside Out).

Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005

Yeah, they're the only ones taking the burden of promoting so (sadly) unpopular prog nowadays

And they don't have any avant garde stuff... just symphonic, neo and progmetal.

Revisted Records. a division of InsideOut, has reissued several Popol Vuh, Kraan, Schulze, etc.. albums wonderfully remastered and with excellent bonus material. The packaging is quite nice as well.

The good thing about IO is that they have a very varied rooster for people to get into. Plus, step by step, they are gaining more and more attention and "fame".

I see a music revolution in the horizon . . .

More reasonably recent prog not on IO:

Apocalypse
Cog
dredg
Echolyn
IZZ
Kopecky
Magenta
Mostly Autumn
Pineapple Thief
Porcupine Tree
Satellite
Solar Project

(more than a couple of those on French label Musea and Biritish label Cyclops who are both also very important labels in the prog rock world today)

And IQ are distributed by IO, as are Pendragon, RPWL, Arena and others.

Its because so Many bands got shafted by Magna Carta , Inside Out has become the new home of progressive rock and takes better care of their artists , thats why

I am shocked you did not include Sieges Even and Riverside. Two great bands with two great cds released in the last year or so.
