The encore is always an important part of any concert and should leave you wanting for more and leave a lasting impression! Some would even argue  that the best is saved till' last? The songs above have been used by bands as an encore at some time in their careers! Which are your favourites?

I once saw a genesis' cover band that did Suppers Ready as an Encore, did a great job too.

The Locomotive Breath medley is a great encore, and it's always different.

hard to pick up one from there...I'm between ELP's Finale and Yes' Starship Trooper since I watched them both at a gig

but Queen's encore We will rock you/We are the champions/God save the Queen is one of the best ways to end a show...predictable but perfect

Isn't "Muffin Man" by Zappa an encore?
My music!

Really difficult. "Crime of the Century", "Wayward son" or ELP's "Finale" would be my favourite here, but the Queen's encore or DP's "Smoke on the water" are THE encore. As you say, "predictable but perfect"

With a signature like mine, I could only choose "The Knife".

I heard a fantastic 4 songs, 1 hour long encore by Mostly Autumn last year - Heroes Never Die, Mother Nature, Passengers, I think, and ending with Comfortably Numb.
Bigger on the inside.
