Topic: israel is on the map! Posted: March 10 2006 at 10:01 |
at last prog bands come to israel...
In the 22 in june- roger waters and nick mason on a big show.
And in the 28 in April- ozrics tentacles.
Im gonna see ozrics for sure, but a ticket to Roger's show is like 370 new israel's shekels

I've been to a prog show, (well not really prog, Jon and Vangelis) in Israel but have never been to a prog show or seen a prog show advertised anywhere in the Bay Area of California (where I live) So in the place that gets lots of rain, it's still dry as hell as far as prog is concerned.

Nick mason will play in the gig in Paris on 14/7/06, not in Tel-Aviv. Roger's son will be accompanying him on guitars, though.
And yes, Phil Collins was there awhile ago, but what has he got to do with prog ?

A Little Light Music, a Jethro Tull live album, was compiled of gigs in Israel, wasn't it? Well, it's good that prog spreads its wings and can be heard on the whole planet. I got the impression that Israel was regularly visited by prog acts, but that's probably not true? I always thought that Peter Hammill had some fans in Israel, at least I read that somewhere.
But who am I to know? Good that the Ozrics go there! And if one of two Floyd member go there: enjoy!
