Favourite Episode in each series:

1 - Future Echoes

2 - Queeg

3 - Bodyswap

4 -Justice

5 - Back To Reality / Holoship (I've come to regard you as people I ....met!)

6 - Emohawk

7 - Tikka To Ride

8 - Krytie TV

I love the scene in Tikka to Ride where Kryten feeds Lister and the Cat the dead body they had found earlier because his behavior protocols had been removed.

Emohawk is another good episode,a sequel of sorts to one of my favorite RD shows,Polymorph.

I knew there wouldn't be a big response to this. Before I started coming here the only people I knew that liked it or even heard of it was me and my wife(she actually got me into it).

Stoke me a clipper,I'll be back for Christmas!

1.Waiting For God-I like this episode too,Me2 is another good one from the first season.

2.Parallel Universe

3.Timeslides

4.Meltdown-Season 4 is loaded with great episodes.White Hole is cool too.

5.Quarantine-If I had to pick a fave from season 5 other than Back to Reality it would be this one.Chris Barrie shines in this episode.

6.Rimmerworld - ditto. An all-time classic!!!

7.Stoke Me A Clipper-Ace returns..how could you NOT like this episode??

8.Krytie TV ditto- easily the best episode of the series.

Mind you there's dozens of excellent episodes!

Anyone thinking of getting into Dwarf should start as near to the beginning as possible otherwise you might just not get it...

I had a hard time narrowing down one favorite from each season, there are so many good ones.

And someone new to RD definitely has to start from Season 1 or you will be pretty lost.

Episide 8, second favourite? That's surprising......and interesting.

I always thought the series worked better when the main cast ie Lister,Rimmer,Cat,Kryten and Holly were unencumbered by having to interact with too many human characters. I felt that the final series, with the whole of Red Dwarf and its crew rebuilt by the nanobots was a series too far.

I'm blown away by this thread! I thought I was the only one who watched this little gem. I can not however narrow my viewing pleasure for this show. The roughness of the earlier seasons are so camp. One thing is for sure, the original Holly is the best. The later series with the added characters like Kachanski really filled out the Dwarf. I really love this show.

Cat: "Forget red - let's go all the way up to brown alert!"
Kryten: "There's no such thing as a brown alert sir."
Cat: "You won't be saying that in a minute!"

Yes! one of my favourite moments.
Here I'm shadowed by a dragon fig tree's fan
ringed by ants and musing over man.

It's a British sci-fi/comedy series.

I have been addicted to it for about a decade.

In general I would say that Season VII was fine until Chris Barrie baled (and unlikely that "our" Rimmer could take over as Ace) and Kochansky took his place. The whole dynamic was ruined and although the rest of the episodes weren't disasters they were never quite as good.Season VII was poor....

I agree about seasons II to VI and I'm gonna choose season III because I like the episodes Backwards, Timeslides and Polymorph.

Does anyone remember which episode featured Listers band who do the 'Ohm song'??

That was Timeslides!

Lister's band:Smeg and The Heads (played by Napalm Death) Craig also 'wrote' (if that's the right word) the Om song.

Great episode.

Wasn't "young Lister" in that episode actually played by Craig Charles' younger brother?
