5 stars   THIS LP WAS PRESSED BUT NOT RELEASED ON THE PRETEXT THAT THE STATE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH CARD TO MAKE THE SLEEVES. THE BAND MEMBERS MANAGED TO FIND SOME ROLLS OF STEEL FOIL ( ALMOST LIKE THICK BACO FOIL ) AND WITH THE HELP OF CONTACTS MADE THE SLEEVES FROM THESE , WHICH LEFT THE AUTHORITIES WITHOUT AN EXCUSE TO DISTRIBUTE THE LPS. ASH

I must have missed the part where this guy was reviewing the album itself.

The reviewer will have another chance to add the "missing" album review.

Iván, be sure we always (or at least we try to) contact the reviewers whose reviews where edited and/or deleted. The answers - when they occur, are surprisingly fair.

Paz como siempre,

How about this review? A bit "light" maybe?

QUEENSRYCHE Operation: Mindcrime
Review (Permanent link) by five more tacos @ 9:25:53 PM EST, 11/16/2004

3 stars  —  This is a album of music. It is not exceptional nor is it horrible. It has its moments, such as Eyes of a stranger and Revolution calling. Also the vocals are great. Its not a bad album, but not essectial for a prog collection. But for a metal collection Its perfect.

This one too. Not abuse, but more a debate or thread starter?

QUEENSRYCHE Operation: Mindcrime
Review (Permanent link) by Symphonic Age @ 5:05:05 PM EST, 2/10/2005

5 stars  —  "Operation: Mindcrime" is not True Prog Metal, but it is one of the fundamental album of this genre, because it is from it that many of the Prog Metal bands have taken cue. Creed that album is therefore universal, appealing to in the same way to Metallers (Defenders, of course) and Progsters (!). I will be banal but this is therefore that I have convinced 4 persons to acquire it and hour adore it! Between the absolute masterpiece of all the times!

QUEENSRYCHE Operation: Mindcrime
Review (Permanent link) by Athanasios Patsos @ 12:46:41 PM EST, 11/2/2005

5 stars  —  Not many words to say about this album... Everyone who has listened to it more than a thousand times knows... Incredible maturity and passion with theatrical elements makes this maybe the first prog metal album for someone to buy. Masterpiece of all times...

Hi, sorry if any offence caused by my review of Crime of the Century.  I must confess, this was my first review of an album after being an avid watcher of this site for quite some time.  Admittedly, four listens is often not enough to fully appreciate any album, especially a prog album, yet I really tried with this one but four listens was the most I could manage before feeling the need to make my feelings heard.  I feel bad now because I caused offence!  I belived that Roger Hodgson was the piano player from info I gained from this site, but now I appreciate that I should maybe research a bit more before doing reviews.  Cheers.

Certainly did not offend me. I would not even have budged had there not that factual fault of Hodgson replacing Davies behind the Keys>>> But Hodgson was also playing the keyboards but as "second fiddle" to Davies>> so you were not entirely wrong either

BTW, do not be alarmed, you should've seen the blunders and gibberish of my first reviews

But just four listens is a little too few to review an album even though I must say that some albums I reviewed I did not listen fully once , but I was sure about having caught the essence of it>> Henry Cow or Art Bears for example

I found this old review that probably doesn't fit the forum guidelines... I think that translate it is useless: it doesn't say anything more than "This is a mythical must have"

PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI (PFM) Storia Di Un Minuto
Review (Permanent link) by Carlo @ 7:04:56 PM EST, 12/8/2003

Holy God, not even aftrer translating it it's worth:

A real myth of Italian Music. An album that should be used in musical schools to teach how to listen the music. Pieces as "La Carrozza di Hans", "E'Festa! as well as "Impressioni di Settembre" are the best anybody can offer. History of the music. point and enough.

Sounds very fanboyish, delete it without remorse.

Iván

I'll assume you read it then, Hugues ...
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."
