Topic: Best Prog -Metal concept album Posted: March 07 2006 at 20:52 |
What do you all think is the best prog - metal concept album. My vote goes to Operation Mindcrime
|
If anyone knows where I can get a copy of some Flute and Voice (Indo-Prog/Raga Rock) albums please PM me! Many thanks!

This is the best "prog -metal" concept album!
O.K: hard guitar riffs, heavy drums...
But... Is it really "prog-metal"? Or just pure prog?![Ermm](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley24.gif)
What do U think?![Smile](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif)

I think it's prog-metal. On the song beyond this life contains metal elements like in the intro part, it's heavy but gradually decreases in weight throughout but regains it on other parts.....like on the part where James sings "I think there's only one thing left to do"...Very metal on his part because of the vocal style.....But it's really hard to classify baecause of it being a concept album because of the changing mood. It tells a story....![](smileys/smiley1.gif)
That's just my opinion...correct me if I'm wrong!![](smileys/smiley17.gif)

Symphony X - V, closely followed by Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane.
And you forgot to include Ayreon!

This is easy question and simple answer - the best is "BE" - I mean ..... no doubt..... there is nothing better in the whole subgenre - concept or without concept....
Well, strange enough that I am the first to vote for it.

I voted for TPE, because In am the first to do this. Remedy Lane and Be are also excellent.
So is Entropia and One Hour... is not bad either.
A Pleasant Shade of Gray is a great album, too.
