"Coses Nostres" or "Sentiments" would make quite a great place to get started with Iceberg.

Ciclos by Los Canarios

Lisker or other basque prog bands.

Two albums in your list are also on my next purchase list .

I do feel that I ahev gone a bit too much lately in cd buying..., It's an addistion, I see prog (and metal) cd's and I can't help it... Maybe I need a support group .

I have not yet heard Atila, but I will track them down and listen to it definitely after reading about them.

I haven't blathered at the mouth with the Atila album like I have the Mezquita one but I  it is a great album.  Definitely recommend it.

  oh my.... just saw the Osanna CD/DVD.. and read your review of it... Osanna might take priority over Prog Andaluz... at least right now hahahhah.  The nail was seeing Gianni Leone from Ill Balletto di Bronzo was on it (YS is probably my favorite prog album outside of The Yes Album and ELP's debut)

Wonder if the DVD is compatible with U.S. players....

Do we end this thread with Italian prog .... nonetheless, re-united Osanna is impressive! But I would buy the Triana cd/dvd set Se De Un Lugar .. ..

if you want to cut corners to the best you might want
to gave Gualberto's Vercuetos or Neuronium's
Quasar 2C361 a try. Gualberto gives you great avant
symphonics/fusion and throws in the sitar flamenco
style, totally unique to the spanish scene.
Neuronium's debut rivals the same period releases
from Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream, his
sound is unique and their are parts that appear to be
swipped by Froese and company just after Quasar
was released. Although they were based in Spain,
Michael Hyugen? is Belgian, making this also the
best 70's release by a native belgian.

hahahha no we don't end it   I just have a massive Osanna fetish hahahha.  As far as the Triana CD/DVD set.. I still need to get my first CD hahahah.

Guitar player Santi Pico delivers great work on the early Neuronium albums and I still have to check out Gualberto, good recommendations DallasBryan, thanks!

By the way, don't forget the current Spanish progrock scene featuring interesting work from Unoma, Bijou, Dr. No, Zaguan and Senogul (see my reviews).

Discovering new bands and albums is a full time job.

Maybe I'll quit mine and start a new life as a vagabond roaming from town to town looking for the underground record shops looking for unknown priceless gems, earning money by working some time at these shops a short period.

I have a picture in my head (accompanied by a Spanish prog tune ) of me walking in a field with a hat and a straw in my mouth, towards the sunset, with a bag on my back and earphones in my ears.... OK enough nonsense and back to work.

Go ahead, Andrew, I have added Alameda to this site and looking forward to reviews  ! By the way, CBS has released their first four albums (79-83) on a nicely priced 2-CD set, highly recomended!
