Topic: Covers you like better than the original Posted: March 02 2006 at 14:33 |
Does anyone else have any?
For example, I like Stevie Ray Vaughan's version of "Voodoo Chile
(Slight Return)" more than Hendrix'. I also like Dream Theater's cover
of "Perfect Strangers" more than Deep Purple's original.

I like "I'm a Man" by Chicago better than the original by the Spencer Davis Group.

Haven't heard John Cale's version, but Buckley's is hauntingly beautiful.

What about White Lion's cover of "Radar Love" I know they're a cheesy hair band but it's a great cover. WASP's cover of "The Real Me" is great too.

I never heard original version of "Come Away Melinda" and even don't know who sung this song first, but I can't believe it's possible to beat URIAH HEEP performance on their debut album.

Great Society's cover of Dylans Outlaw Blues
