EDIT /// Frank Zappa & Ian Anderson were an oversight on my behalf of course they should be on the list Doing these type of polls isn`t easy I can never get them perfect, so many phases of prog so many things to consider. By rights proto progs John Lennon should be there also ... oh well .. 25 is all they let me pick, I did my best. If who you think is the perfect Role Model isn`t listed please pick the next best candidate on the list and make a mention of who you would have gone for This isn`t a normal pole its more discussion thread with a pole added for interest sakes Edited by s1ipp3ry |

I chose Phil Ehart, he doesn´t have lots of baggage, gets the job done (managing Kansas too) and seems pretty down to earth. Amazing drummer too (See DVD Device Voice Drum)

I'll go with Mr. Fripp. I know a lot of people think he is stuck up. I like his mottos on life and his work ethic. If you ever check out the Crimson web site, theres always a line from a quote of his scrawled at the bottom of the web page. He says some really thoughtful stuff.

I go with Peter Gabriel, he had some problems with his voice, he worked them and make an advantage. He is bipolar, he used his own demons to create deep and intelligent lyrics. And of course I admire his reject for drugs and as Peter Hammill is a cultivated person. Iván |

I'll go with Fripp and for the same reasons as Paulieg. I just like
calm persons alot more than nervous people and that is one reason why I
admire Fripp
