i just bought R and i think its a great cd it definetly is somewhat progresive and i think they could possibly be one of the best new progressive bands that actually progress and be the future of prog along with Mars Volta,Sigur Ros,Coheed and Cambria(people consider them prog i dont) and others what do u think and im only basing this of what i have heard

Not prog as in "Prog Rock". But I think that they are quite progressive (as in: unusual, innovative, unpredictable). They defy categorization, but I think that something like "Progressive Alternative Rock" is not far from the truth.

More like intriguing alternative rock, just like Coheed and Cambria.

Great band; borderline prog.
I don't know if that's that only album you've bought/heard, and not that Rated R is a bad album (because it is quite good), but the next two are better. Edited by Moatilliatta |

Good band, non prog though. As for a genre label, Mike called them Progressive Alternative rock. But what about post stoner metal ?
