A dyke is a construction to hold back the waters of the ocean tide. It is also slang for "lesbian" (especially for lesbians who try to look masculine).

Tht's not your case, i suppose.
I've got some "dykes" in my neighbourhood, and when they go out for some jogging, it's like the marines at training.

Except for being bald, we don't look masculine at all. On the contrary, we like to wear sexy dresses.

In your opinion, what's the psychological difference between the two kinds of lesbian, the female and the male looking? there are also lesbian couples made of the two kinds?

In those lesbian couples where one of the pair appears masculine she usually takes a masculine role in sex too (with the help of artificial devices, making up for anatomic deficiencies). I never quite understood that concept, to be honest; why should one go for a copy if one doesn't like the original? This does not mean Jean and I don't use artificial devices in our sexual lives, but contrary to those couples we switch on who is using these devices. And none of us takes up a "male" role in our relationship.
Interestingly the kind of lesbian couple imitating gender roles seems to be the common perception of lesbians; we are often asked who of us is the "male" in our relationship.

Which are more common, in your opinion?

the two female couple or the genre imitating couple

I always feel a little awkward towards gays wanting to be of the other sex , without actually going through with it. And I cannot understand the one playing his own gender accepting this surrogate. To me if you are gay, it is because you are attracted to your own sex and not some parody of the other sex.

Sticky topic, and sorry if I offend anyone on this! Do not mean to

Some say that the pre-fun with a get- together is better than the actual get- together.

When you get at a certain age of adulthood

The chase is better than the catch

and

The foreplay is better than the act

Most women will not disagree with that second statement

Perhaps 50-50, but don't quote me on that.

Yes, it is hard to understand why some people prefer the imitation to the original. No matter how good a copy is, it is still no more than a copy. If I wanted a man I'd go for the real thing! But whatever floats your boat...

Is there a difference between the two kinds of lesbians in their attitude towards men?

There is a difference how lesbians react to men, but I am not sure it has anything to do with the two kinds of lesbians described here. Though it may be possible that those lesbians who imitate the male gender tend to be more aggressive towards men, because there is perhaps an undertone of jealousy, based on a secret fear. Can they really be sure their partner will not fall for the original? This element of jealousy is lacking in couples where both partners are attracted to women who don't act "male". But I can't vouch for this; all I know is I can and do trust Jean with a bunch of men, and she can and does trust me. And our attitude towards men is not hostile, as long as they don't try to make a pass at us.
