Topic: Kamelot: One cold winters night, Oslo gig Posted: February 13 2006 at 09:14 |
Did any of you participate in Kamelot's "One cold winter's night", the DVD recording gig in Oslo last saturday (11 februari)? It was great! Can't wait to see me on the DVD . The funny thing was that about 15min after the last encore and the final goodbyes and bows were over and done with(and half of the audience already had left) Kamelot reappeared on stage to re-record March of Mephisto! So they called the remaining folks to the front to get the feeling going again and played the whole song with all the involed theatrics for the video shoot! Then the played yet another song because they needed to record the audio again! It was even better, it was really funny and the band and audience had a good laugh and the atmosphere was great. It was kind of like a two in one gig.. So at DVD recording shows, it can be worthwile to stick around a bit longer!

You know that Norway and Finland are neighbours right? Well, in the north at least! There were people from Japan there, now THEY traveled far!

The DVD is scheduled for summer/fall 2006, so you have to wait quite a
while... but it was a great show, so it'll be worth while! As I was
right at the front druelling over the soft, magic voice of Roy Khan, I
probably missed half of the theatrics going on around the stage, but I
think the DVD will be great.

Looks like I'll get to see them in person after all.... My band just got booked as the support act for the Kamelot/Epica show here in October.
