Who has influenced you the most on your respective instrument? This could also correspond with who are your favorite musicians on a specific instrument.

Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band, plus everyone else I've ever listened to, come into contact with, or known. Even things I hate have influenced me in some way, positive or negative. Oh yeah, and Yes and Mr.Bungle.

For my style of drumming the late Pierre Moerlen of Gong was a very big influence (hence my signature pic ). His style of starting with a simple rhythm and making it more and more complex the longer he plays until he is finally all over the place is what I really love about him (and also the reason he is very underrated as a drummer, because he doesn't go flashy right from the start, he slowly builds his drumming up, until he comes to a climax. and probably only a trained drummer can really appreciate what he is doing). To a lesser extent Bill Bruford; what I took from him is his habit of slightly delaying the hit on the snare; I like that effect.

Jimmy Page more than anybody I think...specially in the solos

Robert Fripp, with his experimentation

Slash has also influenced me with the soloing

Jonas Engdegård from Anglagard...well, realy Anglagard as a whole...because sometimes I dont know who made each melody...and that´s what I take from them

apart of them...I guess no other comes up to my mind...at least not as a main influence

ahhh, and as I also compose in the bass

Chris Squire with his strong and thick bass lines
