1. RUSTICHELLI E BORDINI "OPERA PRIMA" (****1/2)

2. DE DE LIND "YO NO SE DE DONDE VENGO, Y NO SE DONDE ESTOY, HOMBRE ES EL NOMBRE QUE ME HAN DADO" (*****)

3. CERVELLO "MELOS" (*****)

HONOURABLE MENTION TO BUON VECCHIO CHARLIE, DALTON & CELESTE

CHEERS!!!

Now, I know that bed for progressive music was in England and sung in English. But alot of time when I talk to progers and I recommend them an album not sung in english and they get skeptical (is that the word) about it.

If they only knew what they are missing

please discuss about this topic. I would like to know your opinions on this

wow... what self-discriminating 'progger' wouldn't recognize the beauty of the sound of Italiian or Spanish being sung.  I think your progger friends need to lay off that metal crap and listen to something with a bit more....depth and craftwork to it hahahahh.

BANCO!!!!!  I love Italian prog.  I have well over 100 Italian releases and my CD orders are still dominated with Italian releases including many new bands along with the classics.  Banco had it all.  A great singer, best ever in my opinion.  Two awsome keyboard players.  The rest of the band is very good also.

Yes, they have GENESIS influences, but they have their own sound, typical Italian progressive rock from the seventies!!!

My vote is for Garybaldi : if you ask me why, please listen to the great guitar sound of Bambi Fossati ( and please look at the Nuda's cover!!) .

2nd place for Banco: great singer and great atmospheric sound: really new for the italian scene in the early 70
