Here is my current headphones
Sennheiser HD 477 http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/icm.nsf/root/05178 I had another pair of Sennheisers before these, can't remember the model number though, which I prefered. I've "got use to" the HD477's but not as good as the originals. Anyway anybody have a pair of these? Sennheiser HD-201 apprently they have won awards etc and a review can be found here http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/review.php?reviewId=1380 Thinking of buying them as they are only £17. or these http://www.behringer.com/HPS3000/index.cfm?lang=ENG |

Oliverstoned, would you mind telling me where you found the Sennheiser HD 600 headphones for that price? The only store in my area that carries them (to my knowledge) is charging 600 dollars!!! Nearly crapped myself...

Hello!
Of course. Get them through the Net. For example, here's on Amazon.com, there's an offer at 269.95$ (New): http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/offering/list/-/ B00004SY4H/all/ref=dp_olp_2/002-2862706-5856032?%5Fencoding= UTF8 |

Ah thankyou. I was thinking of just ordering a pair, though I think I will browse around the mall a bit to see what else is available... I was planning on getting the Genesis Archive '67-'75 box, which doesnt leave me too much for a pair of great headphones... so I may have to make a very difficult choice... nice headphones... or all the live songs I've been wanting to hear for so long...

Well, I made it out to a store in my area, an browsed around a bit. They didnt have much of a selection of high quality headphones, mostly just earbuds, and sports/jogging dealies... so I had to settle on a pair because, naturally, I HAVE to spend my money on something (just how I am). So I decided to just go with the Sennheiser 477s. Well I got em and they turned out to be a little more more muffled than I thought they would be. After listening to 'em for most of the day I have realized that they are quite good, though not as good as I was expecting, but then I've been listening to fairly old albums all day with not-so-brilliant recording, so I tried out a much more recend album and it sounds really clear. Since ive been using some sony eaybuds for quite a while I was surprised with how much more bass they have. Usually I keep the megabass or whatever its called turned on with my CD player, but now, keeping it off gives me as much bass as in the on position with earbuds... especially with that newer CD (You're a woman, I'm a machine, by DFA 1979 [yeah I know... it may not be the best band ever, but with a hendrix dvd for 25 bucks... so its not all bad.]) ... so... much.. bass... reminds me of an S.U.V. that passed by me while I was walking home and I could feel the bass from the vehicle from down the street (about 50 - 100 metres or so)...
well maybe the headphones arent that bass-y... but... well I like 'em, they aint bad for the price and its better than usin these tiny little earbuds... they fit over my hat and big hair too! wooohooo! Well... I just cant stop writing useless blather sometimes can I? |

Thanks to give your impressions. I don't know it, for sure there are less good than the HD600, but probably much more cheaper and not too big to wear, unlike the HD600. Of course, they provide much more bass and more everything than the nasty earbuds. It's probably sufficient for a poratble CD player. Enjoy!

I will indeed, thanks for your help with the HD600 anyway, I will consider them in the future if a hefty wad of cash ever falls in my lap . But now... I must think of the CDs I will purchase with my left over loot... perhaps I'll be getting that Genesis Archive after all.... yay!
