Topic: My cat hates prog Posted: February 04 2006 at 13:46 |
It seems that whenever I put a prog album on the stereo my cat gets really agitated and paces around staring at the offending noise. As an experiment I just put on "Welcome back my friends..." and when the music kicked in he took off running for cover under the bed.
When I play something on the computer or the small boombox it doesn't seem to bother him as much.
Anyone else have this phenomena occur?
Maybe I should get scientific about this and try other genres etc..
On the other hand it doesn't seem to bother the dog at all.

My one cat has a similar problem. He
regularly likes to walk up to my prog CD collection and then knock them
all over one by one. He actually reaches behind the CD's and pulls them
out so that they'll all fall over. I have no idea why, but he seems to
enjoy the music at least, so it's all good.

KILL THE CAT....
get a PIT BULLDOG and the cat will enjoy your
music, while he/she is not running for his/her life

its to their benefit.
Which categorizes most sorry women. Kind of like a

Only explosion sounds in Bee Gees song "Tragedy" once made my cat frightened. It was long ago, when he was a kitten. Usually music (from soft sounds of CELESTE to LED ZEPPELIN albums played quite loud) doesn't disturb him. I think I have a special rock'n'roll cat.
Dogs sometimes make too much noise. Cats are nice, delicate and quiet, they never bark when your favorite song sounds. CATS ARE BEST ANIMALS FOR MUSIC LISTENERS!

Maybe it's not the music, but the fact that you're jumping up and down the room while listening to the music that scares him...

glad your happy! I love dogs! Real dogs! Not
something that you step on and may kill, thats a RAT!
Real dogs are at least 30 lbs. The rest are
domesticated RATS!
Cats serve NO value to the hetrosexual community.
They are just a burden, IMO!

Our cats definitely have musical tastes. The female one seems to like early Kraut, especially the quiet and contemplative pieces. The male one has the habit of "singing along" to some songs, especially to Gentle Giant.
