Who do you all think is going to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy this year?Being from Maryland I cannot stand the Steelers but I think they are going to annihilate the Seahawks.

While I always preferred the AFC, I will go for the Seahawks.

Funny they changed to NFC to actually get to the superbowl for the first time in their history>

Damn friggin Raiders not up to anything since the early 90's

I'm rooting for the Seahawks, but I'm not confident that they will win.

The 49ers were never in contention, and won't be for years to come. They have a ton of work to do to even get anywhere near a playoff caliber team.

Im a Dolphin´s huge fan and i hope next year they reach playoffs at least...

Now, its hard to decide, both are playing great... Seahawks with their MVP and good defense could win ,but i think Roethilsberger ,Polamalu and  the other Steelers will give the last win to Bus Bettis

I know it, Prog... that's why I was weeping!

When NFL and NBA started to be transmitted to Brazil, regularly in the 80s, the SF 49ers (NFL) and Celtics/Lakers (NBA) were in the top. That's why they have a legion of fans here.

Seahawks are good but their record is overinflated by having St Louis, Arizona, and San Fran in the same division.  They lost to the only good AFC team they faced in Jacksonville , although that was in the first week of the season (not counting the Indy game which was meaningless).  But late in the season against Tennessee they could only win by 4.

The Steelers have beaten Cincy, Indy and Denver and they are not going to stop now.

Steelers -4.

They're my home team and I still don't like 'em, as with the Raiders.

I've just never been a football fan.

I understand how you feel.I am a Baltimore resident and hardcore Ravens fan,and have watched my team win a Superbowl with one of the greatest defenses ever and then go downhill from there,we have so much work to do right now.

Boller is a bust,we need a top notch quarterback, need to shore up our o-line,and fill some holes in the defense. The addition of Derrick Mason was a pleasant surprise because we needed an good No. 1 receiver, but that doesn't mean nothing with a bad QB.

And I don't know what happened to Jamal Lewis, because he was terrible this year.I think we ought to trade him and go with Chester Thompson, who played very well this year.

Yeah, I think you're dead-on moonperson.  Steelers 21-17, and Hasselbeck goes out with a torn ACL in the 3rd quarter.

But as a long-time cheesehead, I'm already looking forward to next year.

My thoughts exactly. Being from KC, if the the Seahawks were still in the AFC west I dont think they would have surpassed Denver (or the Chiefs for that matter) this year. And the Steelers pulling off three road playoff wins is mighty impressive so Im gonna go with Pittsburgh.

I'm a Baltimore Raven fan,so even if I hate Pittsburgh, I doubt seattle will win this one.

I never went in the USA, but I always taken for the Ravens. Couldn't really tell you why. And I really wonder what happenned to them this year. I mean, Boller is awful, but their better than they seem. I thinbk they might cause a lot of surprises next season.

I'll go with the Seahawks because one of my fellow Québecois is in that team. He would be the first one to win the superbowl. Go Darche!!!

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Don't be so sure!!

In the early 80's San Fran went from 2-14 to the superbowl against Cincinati that went 4-12 that year two

Must say that San Fran drafted as first pick Joe Montana that year!!

I am not positive about Seahawks winning, but I 'd like to see them take it.

I always hated the Steelers!!! That comes from the Bradshaw days!!

Missing a charismatic QB in the NFL; like Montana, Ellway and Marino years ago. Now that Favre is retiring some new guys have to take the torch and go forward - all sports need great names. I don't live in the USA to check if Brady, Garcia or Bledsoe have the capacity to make people become excited with the game.

The season after the Superbowl win the Ravens underwent a salary cap purge. To get a decent amount of cap space they where looking at 2 options:a long drawn out release of players over a longer period of time,or just dump everyone they could or had to at once to make room for the cap right away.

Being a QB with a Superbowl ring,it was pretty clear that Dilfer(a bargain basement QB as far as money went)would demand and deserve a lot more money than they Ravens would be able to pay him.
