UnityShows unites charity, art and music at Avalon Hollywood

~ Hollywood hotspot to host fundraising event starring Tyler Hilton ~

Hollywood, CA – January xx, 2006 – UnityShows and Avalon today announced a partnership that will see the Hollywood super club staging an all ages benefit event on February 9, 2006. KROQ’s top DJ Nicole Alvarez will be hosting the event alongside comedian Jay Davis.

The UnityShows event at Avalon will feature live performances by Tyler Hilton (Walk the Line’s Elvis), Tif McMillin, Huge/Butane and Fishbone. Throughout the show JetRagMonkey will be painting live on stage and the Obray Art Gallery will be spotlighting local artists, photographers and sculptors on the upstairs stage. Cole will also be showing works from his latest collection.

The event will run from 8pm to 2am combining established and emerging artists. At Midnight the bands will be replaced by DJ Splyce. The lineup will provide attendees with a diverse showing of live music in keeping with UnityShows aims.

“We are delighted to host this event for such a good cause,” said April Luca, marketing director of Avalon Hollywood. “Avalon Hollywood has long been an admirer of the work that UnityShows does. We firmly believe in its cause, and hope that this event will help to bring music to children here in Los Angeles.”

“At Avalon we are striving to build relationships with charities that can help change lives. If we can save the youth, we can save the world,” concluded Luca.

UnityShows is an NPO with the goal of building and administrating youth centers that double as ALL-AGES music venues. The charity was created in Minnesota in 2000. It strives to create environments whereyouth can safely and productively spend time after school and experience live music up close and personal.
