5 stars   I think that selling England by book is very marvellous. It is not as good as foxtrot and of the crimes of seedbed, but it is always one of best of all the hour, in the top of the twenty-five things. I like to listen it by eating pizza pie with a table of picnic. Gabriel has its voice to do a nice work and the load of lyric impresses me much. I cannot guarantee the goods which you can appreciate, but it is livable. It starts with a slow beginning but rises with the power and energy and I like the fast movement. It trails then to the bottom with a slow obliteration. It is like the effect Doppler of a train here and then going far. I know that what I like in your garde-robe is ordered with the lawn mower and the speech parts about the trousers and of the potato gardens. It is a piece of music very pleasant completion of interesting toothpaste and was one of them are the first blows. The fifth of the fifth is the best song on the album. The elegant banks makes a fantastic creation of the keyboards and the marvellous solo by Steve Hackett on the guitar has me flight with eggs and bird's nests. More imbecile I is right empty spaces. But it becomes better when we go to the battle of the forest of Epping, a walking piece of historical substance. It becomes complicated and I like times of signature everywhere. Rutherford makes low nice. The second best song is last of this seminal progressive work, the exposure of cinema. It beats me foolish with its astonishing keyboard by elegant Banks and Phil Collins eats its drums. With my ears, it is my best memory and with the fifth of the fifth. The genesis would not have another album as this always still as the lamb is downwards on Broadway would miss senselessness soup and passing by again logicians of council. An incredibly important work of progressive rock in the worlds and deserves holds five us the first role that all likes to see.--JB

NOT EXACTLY ABUSIVE... one of the funniest reviews I read here (as long as I know English).

I think this review is absolutely inspired - either somebody used an online translator with unintentionally hilarious results, or the ghost of James Joyce has started reviewing prog albums. Either way, I look forward to further commentaries on prog classics from this unique perspective!

Syz, I thought initially it could be a problem with the on-line translator but the real fun appears at the track titles which are normally not translated; 'More imbecile I' is anthological.

IMO, only someone with a great knowledge of English could do it.

3 stars   As the last reviewer said, It's not a masterpiece, your progressive music collection do not need it absolutly, but it's an very very good album anyway. Before I bought EMBRACE THE STORM, I listen 2 or 3 sample and I didn't like it. But I finaly took my credit card and order the album anyway. It's really sounding great when I listen to it and change my mind about Lucassen and Marcela lastest effort.

Nice job

5 stars   One of the finest music pieces i ever heard! Kaz Lux vocals come from deep deep inside. Only on vinyl so search on the internet. SUCCES!

stick to vintage for better sound, stereo is the best, you only got 2 ears!

SOMEONE TO TRANSLATE? He wrote about the album and songs...

You can always rely on Babelfish for a good laugh -

Makes sense to me.

I'm not using a "translator", but the meaning is more or less the following:

This is one of the best Italian-prog bands, though it has been forgotten too soon, like many other bands of that period. Their second album, less rock compared to the first one, is absolutely outstanding and, in my opinion, it sounds musically less Italian! Sometimes you can hear reminiscences of King Crimson and Gentle Giant, sometimes it sounds jazzy… In the whole, all the tracks of this album surprise because of their variety and completeness!  The great opener “Villa Doria Pamphili” is evidently inspired by the performance of the band in one of the most important pop-festivals in Rome (in Villa Doria Pamphili Park). The title track is wonderful, true “prog-pearl” of the album, with amazing games between keyboards and violin and well performed by vocals and choirs. “Un giorno amico” is another example of the greatness of this band, of their way to play prog, while E’ accaduto una notte” is more experimental  with echoes of jazz, evidently in the DNA of these amazing musicians!  Although different from their first album I love this one as much as the previous work and I give it 5 stars !!!

As I wrote previously BobRock wrote about the album and its songs with more than 50 words. For me it is valid.

Good work, andrea.

5 stars   'this is the alpha of hip-hop for old heads who were teens in the early 70's especially if you resided in New York City. As a matter of fact the mexican was the national anthlem of the lower east side in manhattan. Whoever said this is not essential is out of their friggin mind, just ask any b-boy who grew up in the U.S.A.

Hip-hop?  Huh?   Um...isn't this a PROG-ROCK record?  I'm confused.

Yeah, I dunno...  have you ever listened to "First Base"?  I personally was surprised to come across Babe Ruth here a few months back.  I would have never pegged them as even remotely "Art Rock", probably not even "Prog Related", any more than early Fleetwood Mac or maybe Blues Image.  Ramatam is the closest thing I've heard to these guys, and they sure aren't here.

Hip-hop though -- huh.  Who'd have thunk it...

Honestly, I've never heard Babe Ruth, much less heard OF them.  The reason I put it here in this forum is because...well; the terms "hip-hop" and "prog" don't jibe.  I don't think the reviewer quite knows what he's talking about, to be honest.

Some world views are spacious, and some are merely spaced...

^Nothing wrong with that review, except for the "Yyz" spelling error of course!

Otherwise, I think it should stay!

3 stars   3,4/5.0

This is really not a bad album, far from it. This is still Rush, with great guitar and keyboards, however I just don't enjoy that much the 80s sound. "XYZ" is probably the best sound on the album, but somehow I would rather consider this album as one of the first neo-progressive album as opposed to a 'late-bloomer' real prog disc. I think the right description could in fact be 'neo-rock-prog'. All that said, this is still a good (but not essential) album, very enjoyable and imaginative.

5 stars   No Bohemian here.....

But still indelibly Queen, terrific vocal harmony, and Queen sound. This album is so underrated because the album doesnt have a standout classic, all songs are evenly fine....

Poppy progressive rock but so what :D
