Why is that? I don`t like their earlier albums but "City of Evil" is absolutely amazing. Too bad they look like Green Day`s cousins then.

It is trust me. Jorn is a absolutely great vocalist.

Anyway I lately noticed that many bands that were famous in US and western Europe aren`t really known and respected in Poland I mean Elvis or Beatels for example.

Really? Among teenagers, maybe.

Have any of you heard of The Hammer Of Gods project ivolving Mike Portnoy, Daniel Gildenlow, Paul Gilbert and Dave LaRue. It`s a tribute band to Led Zeppelin, they relased double CD and DVD with their footage and I was wondering if any of you know where to get one of those. Exept mikeportnoy.com that is.

I wouldn't be surprised if Portnoy's site was the only place you could get it.

I heard some good things when I was away I recommend Howe-Vooten-Chambers album "Extaction" (jazz),

It's not jazz - it doesn't swing... honestly now, must be a kickass album, their technique makes DT's pale by comparison .

Avenged Sevenfold`s "City Of Evil" - kick ass melodic metalcore with a whole lot of solos and great ideas

Metalcore? Well, what can you expect from a Tool hater?

, Ark`s "Brun The Sun", Kino`s "Picture", Neal Morse`s "?", Spiritual Beggars - everything, really great hard rock supergroup, Paul Gilbert albums... the list never ends

Very good choices, maybe apart from Spiritual Beggars, but that's just because I haven't heard them in a long time. Good show!

Howe (Greg)-Vooten-Chambers album really kick ass, it`s magnificent! Have you ever heard about jazz guitarist called Stanley Jordan? His plying style is quite uniqe, he plays by using tapping only, but his melodic jazz is also very good. I never knew you were into jazz.

About that metalcore - Avenged Sevenfold`s last album is the only metalcore thing that gets to me, really the rest of this genre sucks! I tried to give them a shot but they have nothing interesting.

I'm as much into jazz as one can be with the CD prices here. And I don't download.  With jazz I like fusion, free jazz, be bop, hard bop, m-base and loft (I think that's what these things are called, basically an abstract type of modern jazz), also Scandinavian jazz, some latin jazz and some stuff I'm forgetting about here. I don't like vocal jazz, traditional jazz, swing, cool jazz, smooth jazz and big bands (although there are exceptions for all of these sub-genres).

Basically I don't have a favourite music genre - I do have some favourite bands from many genres. There's some outstanding, a lot of good, and plenty of bad music in most genres.

Might as well check out Avenged Sevenfold, should they be like early Soilwork, they'll be OK, I guess...

I must admit I dwonload music lately. Wroclaw has a hub with tons of music, but downloaded too much, now i have tons of crap like Disturbed, Superjoint Ritual or CETI on my computer which I will probably never give a good listen I`ve got carried away for a moment with that downloading. But also I discovered many great groups. Maybe I wouldn`t download so much if Wroclaw wouldn`t be such a crappy town when it comes to music Anyway I stopped downloading now.

I was thinking about working in local government here in Olsztyn or rather in my home town. One of my lecturers said that it is very useful to to complete a some course about money transfers from UE budget. I'm considering that.

You are from Wrocław, aren't you?

I study in Wroclaw but I live in a small town near the Czech border. They say that Worclaw has the best administration in Poland but it`s really hard to believe. Techers are very unplesant. Theres an old joke about administration on UWr, techers treat you like:

1 jear - sh*t
2 jear - mr sh*t
3 jear - student
4 jear - mr student
5 jear - mr friend

but it turned out not to be joke after all.
