Topic: Anglagard vs. Sinkadus Posted: January 26 2006 at 04:51 |
Well,I guess most of you guys prefer Anglagard to Sinkadus.I absolutely adore their Hybris, but the second attempt seems too pale for me.Sinkadus is less complex, but it's more FOLKISH!!!(I must say I adore that cold dark Nordikkk folk!!! ![](smileys/smiley17.gif) )And their CDs are almost equal, they both are masterpieces(the first one I like the most). So,Hybris - 5 stars/Epilog - 3.
Aurum Nostrum - 5/Cirkus - 4,5.
Simply arithmetic

Very similar and mellotronic bands on their own way
Anglagard´s best - Hybris
Sinkadus´s best - Cirkus

The original over the copy.

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

I think I'm in the tiny minority - I like SINKADUS better, as I find their
music more organic and more involving, especially on the first album.

Agree - let me add that I regard their second album as their most accomplished work.

I only own "Buried Alive" and "Progfest '97" and I definitely prefer
Änglagård - better musicianship but most of all better compositions.
Anyway I'll give Sinkadus another chance on of these days.
