Topic: GodBluff VS. Pawn Hearts Posted: January 24 2006 at 19:08 |
I'm going with Godbluff. I purchased it recently and absolutely love it to death.
Although PH is incredible is well.
Both great albums, but, for me, Godbluff get's the edge.

I think Pawn Hearts edges Godbluff out...just slightly tho. Both masterpieces...IMO

Tough choice, who thinks this polls, this is like choosing between mother and father...
Godbluff - since it was in minority at the time I voted.
But I'm not completely sure whether Pawn Hearts were more beyond the boundaries of rock....

Pawn Hearts gets my vote, thanks to Man-ERG and 'Lighthouse Keepers'
I prefer watching the Godbluff Live DVD to listening to the album, although the album version of Sleepwalkers is my favourite overall VDGG song.

Godbluff gets my vote, although both albums are high points in an extraordinarily good discography and it's a very close call.

Pawn Hearts was more adventurous, and therefore more interesting to me. Both are masterpieces however.

In general, the second period slays the first one. I guess people get hung up over the lack of bloated psychodrama and wanton studio dickery. Anyhow, Pawn Hearts is the only early album that can really compete with the 75/76 trilogy; Godbluff wins out all the same.
