I included only the studio albums excluding garage days for obvious reasons

so which is your favourite or most complete? -  and not "best" as I agree with Peter's terminology...

I have to say ...and justice...

Master of Puppets. It's really the only Metallica album I ever listen to these days.... maybe Ride the Lightning once in a while.

Master for me too. I would be more tempted to say ...And Justice For All if it was mixed better. Poor Jason is nowhere to be found on the album. I wish they would re-master it.
